Brief Description:
A two days “Awareness program-cum-training on orchid cultivation (Phase I)”was organized at Graphic Era Deemed to be University for promoting subsistence farming and development in Uttarakhand. Orchids carry a lot of social and economic potential for farmers, and opportunities for researchers. The organizing secretary of the event Dr. Manu Pant and her team trained farmers from the hills in methods of orchid propagation and polyhouse management. Farmers also shared their ideas and experiences.
